President of the Republic, Sauli Niinistö, has awarded Sakari Alhopuro the Commander of the Order of the White Rose of Finland (FWR C) mark of honour.

FWR decorations are conferred upon citizens who have distinguished themselves in the service of Finland. This year, the FWR C decoration is being received by 11 citizens.

Sakari Alhopuro, Doctor of Medical Science, is renowned for his successful entrepreneurial activities and significant support for science, fine arts, entrepreneurship and Finnish society at large.
